Banner improves access, opens Same-Day Care clinics in eastern Arizona cities

Clinics offer same great care that is convenient for patients

PAYSON, Ariz. (July 29, 2025) – Three Banner Same-Day Care clinics opened today in eastern Arizona communities to provide improved access to affordable, ongoing care for people and their families.

The clinics, formerly Banner Urgent Care locations, are in Payson, Pinetop-Lakeside and Show Low, and operate under Banner Medical Group, one of the nation’s leading non-profit health care networks. While still retaining the capacity to treat unexpected, urgent illness, the new clinics also offer convenient online appointment scheduling for less urgent needs. Recognizing community needs for availability and consistency, patients can experience continued care with the same providers at each clinic.

“We’re proud to open these new Banner Same-Day Care clinics to our rural communities here,” said Hoyt Skabelund, chief executive officer of Banner Payson Medical Center. “Our new clinics offer valuable health care options for families and their loved ones who can take advantage of things like being able to walk in or online scheduling — our ultimate goal is to make getting care as easy and convenient as possible for people.”

From writing prescriptions to managing health needs for people with non-life-threatening conditions, teams at the new clinics are able to help in a way that works best for the patient. Whether it be a fever or an ankle sprain, patients are able to receive quality care for themselves and their families to maintain healthy lives.

Clinic locations and phone numbers remain the same, and now operate under new hours:

  • Monday-Saturday: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Sunday: Closed
